About the Book
This book grew out of stories that my wife, Mary Lynch Rogers, told me about how her great-grandfather, Bill McGunnigle, was once a famous baseball player and manager of the Brooklyn Bridegrooms. When I discovered that the Bridegrooms was the team that later became the Dodgers, I decided there was a book here. Mary is the co-founder and CEO of Abrakadoodle, which franchises creative art classes for children across the U.S. and in Asia, including China and Japan. You can check it out at
